The originally unfavourable estimations as to the cold weather impacts to this year´s yield of pistachios proved true, especially the Jumbo size was striked most of all, by about 30-40% - depending on region.
The pistachio market has been unstable in the last two weeks. First, the pistachio price in Iran stabilized, later, due to low demand, it returned to the approximately same level.
This is the only piece of news worth mentioning recently. The pistachio market is still saturated and we can expect marked revival of demand. Only then we will most probably see the expected pistachio price increase.
The estimated stock in Iran is about 25.000 mt of raw pistachios.
