Pistachio prices went down last week due to low demand, even in Hamburg. The present situation in the pistachio market seems to be stabilized.
Although a lot of pistachios has not passed the testing in European ports, we can expect that the pistachio prices falling will continue. The prices in Iran are currently quite stabilized.
We got negative news concerning the bad weather in Iran. Some sources even mention damage of a part of new harvest especially in case of JUMBO size. As yet we cannot speak about any strong influence of these facts to pistachio prices.
The estimated amount of old pistachio stock is 30.000 mt. We will bring more information next time after the market situation becomes clearer.
