Pistachio nuts

Since the arrival of the new crop to the market to date the situation has not undergone any fundamental changes. Although the new Iranian agency NIPC has already stated new purchasing prices to the farmers, there prevails a strong conviction that the prices will go down, probably already during January. Not even Europe is idling and that´s why the European Commission has announced new rules concerning the customs clearance of pistachio nuts which shows that this commodity is growing steadily „very hot“.

Poppy-seed

Unfortunately, the prices of poppy-seed are rising every week. The current prices are in the region of 1.650 EUR/mt FOT. As already mentioned, it is caused by a weak crop and by this year´s worse quality of poppy-seed as well.

Walnuts

The price of walnuts in the Ukraine remains stable and one can assume that it will not go down. Currently it is in the region of 5.300 USD/mt FOT.
